NMC Group Services seeks a skilled neonatologist to perform professional duties including assessment, rounds in NICU and Nursery, ordering tests, prescribing medications, and providing in-patient care for newborns. You will attend difficult deliveries and provide consultative services to support patient care.
You will participate in on-call coverage for neonatal emergencies and contribute to quality assurance and regulatory compliance under UAE health standards.
Performs professional duties of a neonatologistResponsible for assessment and reassessment of patientsConducts daily rounds to patients in the hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Nursery performs general or special examinations and other procedures covering the full scope of the field of neonatology Orders laboratory radiological examinations determines diagnosis prescribes medications advice nursing and dietary care as necessary and applies such preventive measures as requiredProvides in-patient care to the newborn and attends difficult delivery or cesarean section deliveriesOffers consultation referral services to the in-patient services in his area of expertiseWorks with patients throughout the entire process starting from consultation to treatment planServes as an expert in neonatology providing consultative services to other Medical ServicesProvides on-call emergency coverage for neonatal emergencies as per duty roster
Attends committee meetings as assigned by the Head of Department HOD Monitors clinical and other established indicators to ensure ongoing quality assuranceReviews journals texts or periodicals in order to update latest techniques procedures drugs and therapyInvolved in development of International level guidelines to standardize and improve quality of service providedFollows standard policies and procedures as required by DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH JCI ISO OSHMS and other regulatory bodiesParticipates in scheduled in-service training programs CMEs divisional teaching activities the regular physicians conference or other committees as requestedParticipate in improvement initiates within the departmentHandle complaints in an amicable manner when necessaryFoster interdepartmental liaison in order to ensure maintenance of established level of Service AgreementsAware of hospital fire policy and emergency proceduresParticipate in a quality assurance program for the obstetrics and gynecology services and help develop and monitor indicatorsAssist the senior staff in developing best practice guidelines protocolsDocuments all care provided and education information given to patients within their medical health record as per professional and practice standards protocols
At least 3 - 5 years’ post qualification experience at Specialist level (independent of country)At least 1 year Specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.Certification and registration in a speciality recognised by relevant UAE healthcare authority. Active and valid life support certification (e.g. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP)Eligibility for relevant healthcare authority registration e.g. Membership from Royal College / Arab Board Certification / MS / DM / MPhil or an equivalent recognised by relevant healthcare authority in UAE
