Job summary

Client of Dr Expat is seeking a Specialist Neonatologist to provide comprehensive neonatal care within a modern NICU in Dubai. You will diagnose, treat, and stabilise critically ill and premature neonates, and work closely with paediatricians, obstetricians, and nursing staff.

The role requires 3+ years post-specialisation NICU experience, DHA/DOH/MOH licensure, and strong resuscitation skills. Arabic speakers have an advantage; UAE Labour Law benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MBBS/MD) with Specialisation in Neonatology.
• DHA, DOH, or MOH Licence or Eligibility Letter as Specialist Neonatologist.
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialisation experience in a NICU.
• Expertise in managing critically ill and premature neonates.
• Strong neonatal resuscitation and intensive care skills.
• Arabic-speaking candidates will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage medical conditions affecting newborn infants.
• Provide advanced care for premature and critically ill neonates in the NICU.
• Perform neonatal resuscitation and stabilisation during high-risk deliveries.
• Develop and implement evidence-based neonatal treatment plans.
• Monitor ventilated and critically ill newborns.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, paediatricians, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Counsel and educate families regarding neonatal conditions and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with UAE healthcare regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement and neonatal patient safety initiatives.
• Stay updated with advancements in neonatology and neonatal intensive care.

Role Overview Specialist Neonatologist As a Specialist Neonatologist you will provide comprehensive medical care for newborn infants particularly premature and critically ill neonates requiring intensive care support You will work closely with paediatricians obstetricians nursing teams and other healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based neonatal care manage complex NICU cases and support families throughout their newborn s treatment journey
