Wasael Property Management seeks a senior Landscape Architect to lead design reviews and coordinate softscape, hardscape, irrigation, and public realm solutions across projects in Abu Dhabi. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Design, or related discipline.
  • Professional accreditation or membership would be advantageous.
  • 5–8 years of relevant landscape architecture experience in real estate, construction, infrastructure, or major project environments.
  • Experience delivering landscape and public realm projects through design and construction stages.
  • Knowledge of softscape, hardscape, irrigation, planting design, landscape materials, and public realm design.
  • Understanding of UAE climate, sustainable landscaping principles, and authority requirements.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other landscape/design software.
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary consultants, contractors, and project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and review of landscape architecture designs from concept through detailed design, construction, and handover.
  • Review landscape drawings, specifications, reports, material submissions, and technical documentation for compliance with project requirements and approved design intent.
  • Coordinate landscape design requirements covering softscape, hardscape, irrigation, streetscape, public realm, external furniture, lighting interfaces, and associated elements.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, infrastructure teams, urban designers, consultants, and other disciplines to ensure effective integration of landscape requirements.
  • Review planting strategies, plant selection, soil requirements, irrigation systems, and landscape specifications considering local climate and environmental conditions.
  • Support the development of sustainable and water-efficient landscape solutions appropriate to the UAE environment.
  • Review consultant and contractor landscape submissions and provide technical comments and recommendations.
  • Identify landscape design conflicts, technical issues, and interface requirements and coordinate their resolution with relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, coordination meetings, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Coordinate with Design Management, Technical, Project Management, BIM, Infrastructure, and Construction teams throughout project delivery.
  • Support authority submissions and ensure landscape designs comply with applicable UAE regulations, municipality requirements, codes, and project standards.
  • Support value engineering exercises while maintaining landscape quality, functionality, sustainability, and overall design intent.
  • Review landscape material samples, mock-ups, planting selections, and other design elements prior to approval.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor landscape works and ensure implementation is consistent with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Review RFIs, technical queries, shop drawings, and proposed design changes related to landscape works.
  • Support snagging, testing, commissioning of irrigation systems, handover, and close-out of landscape works.
  • Coordinate with operations and facilities teams to ensure landscape solutions consider long-term maintenance and operational requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging landscape design practices, sustainable technologies, materials, and regional environmental considerations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and review of landscape architecture designs from concept through detailed design, construction, and handover.
