Job summary

Astra ProMed in Sharjah is seeking an experienced Specialist ENT to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The role focuses on diagnosis and management of adult and pediatric ENT conditions with patient-centered care and collaboration across audiology, radiology, and pediatrics.

The ideal candidate will hold MBBS/MD, a recognized ENT postgraduate qualification, and board certification with a minimum of five years post-specialization experience.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in ENT / Otolaryngology.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, and treatment of ENT conditions.
• Evaluate and manage common ear, nose, throat, and upper airway disorders.
• Diagnose and treat hearing loss, otitis media, tinnitus, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, and nasal obstruction.
• Manage tonsillitis, adenoid disorders, voice disorders, and swallowing difficulties.
• Perform ENT procedures and minor surgical interventions within scope of practice.
• Conduct nasal endoscopy, otoscopy, and other ENT examinations as trained.
• Refer complex cases for advanced surgical or multidisciplinary management.
• Collaborate with audiologists, speech therapists, radiologists, and pediatricians.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure patient-safety governance.

We are looking for an experienced Specialist ENT to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the diagnosis and management of adult and/or pediatric ENT conditions and a patient-centered approach to clinical care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, and treatment of ENT conditions
• Evaluate and manage common ear, nose, throat, and upper airway disorders
• Diagnose and treat hearing loss, otitis media, tinnitus, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, and nasal obstruction
• Manage tonsillitis, adenoid disorders, voice disorders, and swallowing difficulties
• Perform appropriate ENT procedures and minor surgical interventions within the scope of practice
• Conduct nasal endoscopy, otoscopy, and other relevant ENT examinations where appropriately trained
• Manage chronic and acute ENT conditions through medical and surgical treatment
• Assess and manage patients with vertigo and balance-related disorders
• Provide appropriate pre-operative and post-operative care for ENT surgical patients
• Refer complex cases for advanced surgical or multidisciplinary management when required
• Collaborate with audiologists, speech therapists, radiologists, pediatricians, and other specialists
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with patient-safety and clinical governance standards
• Provide patient education regarding treatment options, medication, follow-up, and preventive care
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, teaching, and CME activities

Requirements

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in ENT / Otolaryngology
• Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualification
• Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in ENT
• Strong clinical experience in general ENT diagnosis and management
• Experience in ENT procedures and minor surgical interventions
• Eligible for MOHAP Specialist classification/license in Sharjah
• Excellent clinical, communication, and patient-management skills
