Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments of children and adolescents
• Diagnose and manage conditions such as anxiety disorders, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, behavioural disorders, and other psychiatric conditions within the physician's expertise
• Develop individualized treatment plans including medication management and appropriate therapeutic referrals
• Monitor treatment response, medication effectiveness, and potential adverse effects
• Assess risk and coordinate urgent intervention when clinically necessary
• Work collaboratively with psychologists, therapists, paediatricians, schools, and relevant support services where appropriate
• Provide guidance and counselling to parents and caregivers
• Maintain confidential clinical records in accordance with applicable requirements
• Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews, clinical audits, and quality-improvement initiatives
