Consultant – Pediatric Psychiatrist in Dubai is a senior opportunity for a CCT‑qualified child and adolescent psychiatry specialist with Arabic fluency and strong experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental health conditions in children and adolescents. This role is ideal for a compassionate consultant psychiatrist who can provide culturally sensitive care, work closely with families, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support high‑quality pediatric mental health services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for children and adolescents presenting with emotional, behavioral, developmental, or mental health concerns.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric mental health conditions using evidence‑based psychiatric practice.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that may include psychotherapy, medication management, behavioral interventions, family support, and multidisciplinary care.
- Provide ongoing follow‑up, treatment monitoring, risk assessment, medication review, and progress evaluation.
- Work collaboratively with psychologists, pediatricians, therapists, nurses, school counselors, and allied health professionals.
- Engage with families in Arabic and English where required, offering education, support, guidance, and clear explanations of diagnosis and treatment options.
- Support culturally sensitive care for Arabic‑speaking children, adolescents, and families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical meetings, care planning sessions, and service coordination.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records, consultation notes, risk assessments, treatment plans, and follow‑up documentation.
- Ensure adherence to DHA regulations, ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and best clinical practices.
- Provide patient‑centered care that respects child safety, family involvement, dignity, and emotional well‑being.
- Contribute to clinical governance, service improvement, professional learning, and high‑quality pediatric mental health service delivery.
- Manage cases with strong organizational discipline, time management, and appropriate clinical escalation when needed.
- Support a safe and therapeutic environment for children, adolescents, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Ideal Profile
- CCT Certificate of Completion of Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Eligibility for DHA licensure or active DHA license.
- Fluency in Arabic is essential.
- Strong English communication skills are required.
- Proven experience working with children and adolescents in a clinical mental health setting.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, interpersonal, and patient‑management skills.
- Experience working in the Middle East or with Arabic‑speaking populations is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
