Job summary

Wynn Al Marjan Island seeks a Sommelier for the Steakhouse by Alain Ducasse to join the resort’s Beverage team in Ras Al Khaimah. The role focuses on wine service excellence, guest engagement, and seamless beverage operations.

The candidate should have 1–2 years of wine service in luxury settings, a basic sommelier certification, and fluent English; shifts and strong teamwork are essential for success in this high‑end venue.

Qualifications

• 21 years or older due to alcohol service laws.
• 1–2 years of wine service experience in fine‑dining or luxury hospitality.
• WSET Level 2 or equivalent certification preferred.
• Ability to assist in wine list presentation, inventory control and cellar maintenance.
• Skilled in wine presentation, pouring techniques, and guest engagement.
• Familiarity with POS systems and handling cash or card transactions.
• Knowledge of beverage requisition, receiving, transfer and inventory control systems preferred.
• Good understanding of hygiene, food safety, sanitation, allergen awareness and responsible beverage service standards.
• Fluent in English; other languages are an asset.
• Flexible with work schedules and able to work in shifts.

• Update inventory locations and bin labels whenever wines are moved.
• Eliminate waste by monitoring pour levels and ensuring proper storage practices.
• Set up and train employees on wine service, beverage knowledge, and presentation.
• Periodically lead and host wine and beverage-related classes.

About Wynn Al Marjan Island:

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE. Set to open in 2027, the resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. About The Position
