Job summary

Halian Group is seeking an experienced backend Java professional to architect and deliver microservices-based banking/fintech solutions on Azure. The role requires 7+ years of hands-on Java, Spring, API design, and strong security practices.

You will design REST APIs, implement OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, and mTLS, and work with AKS, Azure DevOps, and database systems across relational and NoSQL stores. The contract is 1 year with extension potential and an immediate to 15-day notice period.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development experience using Java 17+ and Spring ecosystem.
• Designing and developing REST APIs and API lifecycle management.
• Strong API security knowledge (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS).
• Experience with Azure services: AKS, App Services, Key Vault, Storage, Insights, DevOps.
• Relational and NoSQL databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis.
• Understanding of design patterns, distributed systems, resilience, and fault tolerance.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure SDLC practices.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise banking/fintech or financial services solutions.

Technical Skills:

• 7+ years of backend development experience using Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Microservices Architecture.
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, and API lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of API security including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, mTLS, and certificate management.
• Experience with Azure services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, Azure Key Vault, Azure Storage, Application Insights, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, distributed systems, resilience patterns, and fault tolerance mechanisms.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, and secure SDLC practices.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise banking, fintech, payments, digital banking, or financial services solutions.
