Job summary

Butler Rose in Dubai is seeking a senior Product Owner to drive the next stage of a growing digital investments and trading platform inside a bank's mobile app. You will bridge business, pricing, and technology teams as a central figure in a seasoned squad.

Responsibilities include turning business requirements into user stories, owning the backlog, prioritising features from idea to launch, and expanding asset classes from crypto to mutual funds while maintaining delivery tempo.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in banking, wealth, brokerage or fintech with a proven digital product track record.
• Solid knowledge of investment products (stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, bonds, crypto).
• Ability to work closely with engineers; understand APIs and integrations; realistic expectations.

The opportunity

A well established Dubai bank is growing its digital investments and trading platform and needs a senior Product Owner to help drive the next stage.

The platform sits inside the bank's mobile app, so customers can see all their banking and investing in one place. US stocks are already live. Crypto and virtual assets, mutual funds and more asset classes are being added now, so this is a real build and launch role, not a maintenance one.

You will sit at the centre of it all, between the business team who own the products and pricing, and the technology team who build them. You will join a very experienced team that includes senior product owners, business analysts and a junior product owner.

What you will do

• Take product requirements from the business and turn them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
• Own and prioritise the backlog, and drive features from idea through to launch
• Work hand in hand with engineers, challenge timelines and keep delivery on track
• Bring new asset classes onto the platform, from crypto to mutual funds, bonds and structured products
• Keep business, tech, compliance and operations aligned in a fast moving, high pressure environment
• Track how the platform performs and push for continuous improvement

What we are looking for

• 8+ years in banking, wealth, brokerage or fintech, with a strong track record in digital products
• Solid knowledge of investment products such as stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, bonds, structured products or crypto
• Enough technical depth to work closely with engineers. You understand APIs and integration's, can read code and know what is realistic
• Experience of core banking systems and agile delivery (Scrum, Kanban, Jira or similar)
• GCC or wider Middle East experience, and comfortable getting things done through relationships
• Resilient, hands on and calm under pressure

The ideal person is strong on both product and technology, but we are open to strong people from either side:

• Product led: an investment or trading product specialist who is comfortable in technical conversations
• Tech led: a technical product owner or delivery lead who has built investment or trading platforms and knows the products well

Traditional banks, digital banks, investing apps, brokers and crypto platforms, as long as you bring real investment and wealth experience.
