Job summary

SOL Properties in Dubai seeks an experienced Site Surveyor to join our Projects team. You will lead setting-out, level control and survey measurements on high-rise tower developments, ensuring precision against drawings and specs.

You will operate total stations and levelling instruments, maintain survey records, and coordinate with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to resolve discrepancies on site.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction site surveying experience.
• Minimum 5 years on high-rise tower projects.
• Ability to read construction, structural and architectural drawings.
• Proficient in surveying calculations and coordinates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate site surveys, measurements and setting-out activities for construction projects.
• Establish and maintain grid lines, benchmarks, reference points and control points.
• Perform horizontal and vertical alignment, level control and elevation checks.
• Operate total stations, levelling instruments and other surveying instruments.
• Verify construction works against approved drawings, coordinates and project specifications.
• Interpret architectural, structural and civil engineering drawings.
• Monitor survey accuracy and ensure construction activities comply with approved dimensions and tolerances.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants and subcontractors to resolve surveying discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate survey records, reports, measurement data and as-built documentation.
• Identify and report any deviations or discrepancies affecting construction accuracy.

Job Description – Site Surveyor

Position Overview

SOL Properties is seeking an experienced and technically proficient Site Surveyor to join our Projects team. The ideal candidate should have extensive construction site surveying experience, particularly in high-rise tower developments, with strong expertise in setting out, level control and survey equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate site surveys, measurements and setting-out activities for construction projects.
• Establish and maintain grid lines, benchmarks, reference points and control points.
• Perform horizontal and vertical alignment, level control and elevation checks.
• Operate total stations, auto levels, digital levels and other surveying instruments.
• Verify construction works against approved drawings, coordinates and project specifications.
• Interpret architectural, structural, and civil engineering drawings.
• Monitor survey accuracy and ensure construction activities comply with approved dimensions and tolerances.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants and subcontractors to resolve surveying discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate survey records, reports, measurement data and as-built documentation.
• Identify and report any deviations or discrepancies affecting construction accuracy.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction site surveying.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in high-rise tower projects.
• Strong proficiency in Total Stations, levelling instruments and modern surveying techniques.
• Proven expertise in setting out, level control, grid establishment and vertical alignment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction, structural and architectural drawings.
• Good knowledge of construction tolerances, coordinates, benchmarks and survey calculations.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
