Job summary

GECO M&E LTD in the UAE is seeking a Safety Assistant to support its HSE team across construction, MEP, electrical, and industrial projects.

You will assist with daily site safety activities, PTW, toolbox talks, PPE usage, and safety documentation to help maintain a compliant and safe working environment for all personnel.

Strong communication and reporting skills are essential, with NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA certification seen as a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant site safety experience.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the HSE team in implementing daily site safety activities.
• Monitor compliance with workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with Permit to Work (PTW) processes and site safety inspections.
• Promote the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Participate in Toolbox Talks and other safety awareness activities.
• Observe and report unsafe conditions and unsafe work practices.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and related documentation.
• Support the implementation of health and safety standards across project sites.
