Job summary

Qualifications

• Have 2-5 years of work experience, preferably within the UAE.
• Have previous experience in construction, renovation, interior fit-out, maintenance, facilities management or a related field.
• Hold a valid UAE driving licence - mandatory.
• Have access to own car for travelling between sites and suppliers - mandatory.
• Be comfortable travelling throughout Dubai during the working day.
• Be confident communicating with site supervisors, labourers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Have basic knowledge of construction or building materials.
• Be comfortable obtaining quotations, negotiating prices and comparing suppliers.
• Have strong follow-up skills and manage multiple small tasks simultaneously.
• Be proactive and capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Be willing to learn and grow into higher responsibility roles.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the owner/management and assist with the day-to-day running of renovation and fit-out projects.
• Visit multiple project sites across Dubai and monitor daily progress.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, labourers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure planned work is completed.
• Follow up on pending works, site requirements and deadlines.
• Provide regular updates to management including photos, videos, progress reports and any site issues.
• Identify problems or delays on site and elevate them quickly to management.
• Assist with organising labour and coordinating workers between different project locations when required.
• Visit building material suppliers and hardware stores to obtain quotations and compare prices.
• Source materials, tools and equipment and help identify the best combination of quality and price.
• Collect quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and prepare basic price comparisons.
• Purchase and collect urgent materials where required.
• Coordinate material deliveries and ensure the correct materials and quantities reach the relevant project site.
• Follow up with vendors, subcontractors and suppliers regarding orders, quotations and delivery schedules.
• Assist with basic measurements, site documentation and material requirements.
• Carry out general operational errands and tasks required for the smooth running of the business.
• Maintain good communication between management, supervisors, workers and suppliers.
