Job summary

Al Tayer Group is seeking a Project Engineer in the UAE to plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site execution of fit-out/ turnkey projects. You will liaise with internal departments, manage subcontractors, and ensure adherence to design, quality standards, and timelines.

Role requires 5–8 years in construction, a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree, and proven ability to coordinate with clients and consultants. On-site leadership and compliance with HSE/QA/QC are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design project installation based on client layout and obtain client approval for systematic site installation.
• Conduct site meetings with consultants and clients; address queries and arrange additional quotations as needed.
• Maintain HSE/QA/QC procedures and schedules; ensure municipal/legal formalities are met.
• Oversee subcontractors and site progress; ensure high-quality workmanship and timely completion.
• Ensure project documentation, schedules, and reports are completed and submitted on time.

Job description

Plan, organize and coordinate the project execution process on site and with the internal departments, to ensure completion of the job within specified timeframes, in an organised and cost effective manner, in accordance with the approved design and quality standards so as to meet customer’s satisfaction and maintain continuity of business.

Responsibilities

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare project implementation plan and organize such resources as men, material, tools and equipment to ensure the installation of finished products at customers’ site enabling the company to meet its contractual obligation and customer satisfaction.
• Receive quotations from labour sub-contractors, identify the most cost effective contractor, obtain approval and arrange the appointment in conjunction with the Quantity Survey Dept.
• Organize design of the project Installation based on the layout provided by the client/consultant and obtain approval of the design by the client so as to arrange systematic installation at the site.
• Conduct site meeting with the consultants and the client, answer their queries, make changes at the site if required and organise additional quotations for any additional work.
• Maintain all internal HSE/QA/QC procedures and maintain all schedules accordingly.
• Ensure all municipal/legal formalities are complied with and completed as required.
• Ensure all Project close‑out procedures are adhered to.
• Complete all formalities related to subcontractors in coordination with QS & Accounts Dept.
• Supervise the site at all times, provide on‑the‑spot guidance to ensure high‑quality craftsmanship and keep the client/consultant posted on the progress of the installation; solve problems if any to achieve smooth implementation of installation as per plan.
• Ensure that the quality assurance check is conducted on the finished products before delivery to the consultant/client site to confirm that the products meet all the specifications provided by the clients.
• Ensure the handover of the site upon completion to the client and obtain a completion certificate from the client that the site has been handed over to their satisfaction to avoid any dispute at a later stage.
• Approve the invoice for the submission and ensure that the credit is collected in full and on the due date to avoid delay or litigation. Coordinate with QS team on all commercial issues and solve them.
• Coordinate with clients and various other agencies to ensure that the project is completed as per required standards and meets client expectations.
• Ensure all contract documentation, schedules and reports are completed accurately and submitted to concerned parties in adherence to the defined timelines.
• Receive snag lists from consultants, arrange subcontractors for various works, and monitor all jobs for timely completions and compliance to client specifications.

People Management Roles and Responsibilities

• Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles.
