Job summary

Azizi Developments in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Site Engineer - Infrastructure to oversee day-to-day site activities for infrastructure projects. You will supervise roads, drainage, sewerage, and utility works and coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure milestones are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure construction projects.
• Candidates currently working with construction or contracting companies.
• Hands-on experience in roads, drainage, sewerage, stormwater, water supply, and utility infrastructure works.
• Experience in site execution, subcontractor management, consultant coordination, and quality inspections.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and authority requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities to ensure work follows drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Manage infrastructure works including roads, earthworks, drainage, and utilities.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives.
• Review shop drawings, IFC drawings, method statements, and project specifications before starting activities.
• Ensure compliance with designs, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate with surveyors for setting out and alignment verification.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor activities to meet milestones.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with QA/QC engineers to meet quality requirements.
• Arrange inspections with consultants and authorities and follow up on approvals.
• Identify site issues and coordinate with engineering teams for timely solutions.
• Prepare daily progress reports and site records.
• Monitor progress against schedules and report delays or risks to Project Manager.
• Ensure proper HSE implementation and safe site practices.
• Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for infrastructure networks where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, and construction schedules.
• Manage infrastructure works, including roadworks, earthworks, excavation, backfilling, grading, drainage, sewerage, stormwater networks, and wet and dry utilities.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review approved shop drawings, IFC drawings, method statements, and project specifications before commencing site activities.
• Ensure that all construction activities comply with approved designs, quality standards, HSE requirements, and relevant authority regulations.
• Coordinate with surveyors for setting out, levels, coordinates, and alignment verification.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor activities to achieve project milestones.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with QA/QC engineers to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Arrange inspections with consultants and relevant authorities, and follow up on approvals and site observations.
• Identify site issues, resolve technical problems, and coordinate with the engineering team for timely solutions.
• Prepare daily progress reports, site records, inspection requests, and other required documentation.
