Job summary

AECOM seeks an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to support the Resident Engineer, overseeing STP-related construction activities in the UAE. You will supervise site inspections, review submissions, monitor progress, and coordinate with contractors and authorities to ensure compliance with drawings, schedules and HSE standards.

The role requires UAE project experience, strong supervision skills, and a comprehensive understanding of wastewater treatment infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 10 years experience in stormwater line for STP projects.
• Hands-on end-to-end delivery across civil, mechanical, and process components.
• UAE project experience with local authority regulations and standards.
• Strong construction supervision, shop drawings, material submittals, and as-built docs.
• Knowledge of UAE codes, environmental regulations, and HSE for wastewater facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site construction per specs, quality, and schedule.
• Review Inspectors’ daily reports and prepare the Engineer’s Daily Diary.
• Coordinate with contractors, authorities, and consultants.
• Review and approve shop drawings, materials, and methods.
• Monitor setting-out, progress, and prepare progress/technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and HSE standards.
