Job summary

NAGA Architects, Designers & Planners in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Architect to join the Site Supervision team. The role focuses on supervision and coordination of architectural works for residential buildings and villas, ensuring compliance with drawings, project requirements, and UAE codes.

The successful candidate will work on-site, coordinate with contractors and project teams, perform technical reviews, and support the Resident Engineer to maintain quality and progress in line with UAE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of construction and consultancy supervision experience.
• Strong supervision experience of residential buildings and villas.
• Good knowledge of UAE codes and regulations.
• Strong supervision, coordination, and technical review skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work on-site with contractors and multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise architectural works on residential buildings and villas.
• Carry out regular site inspections and ensure works follow approved drawings and project requirements.
• Review and coordinate architectural works related to interior and exterior finishes, joinery, wall finishes, and waterproofing interfaces.
• Conduct technical reviews and identify issues for clarification or resolution.
• Coordinate architectural works with other disciplines and project stakeholders.
• Review and respond to RFIs.
• Attend project progress and technical coordination meetings.
• Monitor quality and progress of architectural works on site.
• Coordinate with contractors to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Support the Resident Engineer with architectural supervision, inspections, and coordination.
• Ensure compliance with UAE codes and project standards.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Architect to join our Site Supervision team in Abu Dhabi. The role will focus on the supervision and coordination of architectural works for residential buildings and villas, ensuring that works are carried out in line with approved drawings, project requirements, and applicable UAE codes.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working on‑site, coordinating with contractors and project teams, and handling technical reviews and day‑to‑day architectural supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise architectural works on residential buildings and villas.
• Carry out regular site inspections and ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings and project requirements.
• Review and coordinate architectural works related to:
• Interior and exterior finishes
• Joinery
• Wall finishes
• Waterproofing interfaces
• Conduct technical reviews and identify any issues requiring clarification or resolution.
• Coordinate architectural works with other disciplines and project stakeholders.
• Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Attend project progress meetings and technical coordination meetings.
• Monitor the quality and progress of architectural works on site.
• Coordinate with contractors and relevant parties to resolve technical and site‑related issues.
• Support the Resident Engineer with architectural supervision, inspections, and technical coordination.
• Ensure architectural works comply with applicable UAE codes and project standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction and consultancy supervision.
• Strong experience in the supervision of residential buildings and villas.
• Good knowledge of applicable UAE codes and regulations.
• Strong experience in architectural site supervision, inspections, coordination, and technical reviews.
• Good understanding of architectural finishes, façade works, joinery, stone finishes, waterproofing interfaces, and specialist architectural elements.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a site‑based environment and coordinate with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.

Software Requirements

Experience using Revit, BIM, ACC, or equivalent applications is a must.
