Job summary

Black and Grey HR is seeking a hands-on Material Lab Consultant – Kitchen Division to guide clients through kitchen material selections and translate showroom interactions into sales. You will engage showroom visitors, understand project scope, and recommend worktops, finishes, and cabinetry while collaborating with design teams.

The role emphasizes customer focus, strong follow-up, and relationship-building to achieve sales goals in a building materials context.

Qualifications

• Experience in showroom, retail, or consultative sales, ideally within kitchen, interiors, furniture, or building materials.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of kitchen materials, finishes, or basic design concepts is an advantage.
• Customer-oriented, commercially driven, and confident in handling sales conversations.
• Proactive approach with strong follow-up and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with showroom visitors and understand their kitchen requirements, preferences, and project scope.
• Recommend suitable worktops, finishes, cabinetry materials, fittings, and related solutions.
• Handle customer enquiries, prepare quotations, and follow up consistently to drive conversions.
• Build strong knowledge of the product portfolio, specifications, applications, and latest offerings.
• Work closely with design and technical teams to address bespoke or project-specific requirements.
• Keep product samples and showroom displays organized, updated, and visually appealing.
• Maintain client records and nurture relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.
• Deliver against assigned sales goals and contribute to overall showroom performance.
