Job summary

The Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) seeks a proactive Safety & Security professional to monitor hazardous situations, assess risks, and help enforce OSH guidelines across hotel operations.

You will conduct risk assessments, organize safety trainings, inspect premises, investigate incidents, and coordinate with departments to ensure guests and crew experience a safe, compliant environment. The role requires clear communication, strong observation skills, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in hotel is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required.
• Be committed to exceeding guest expectations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations
• Developing measures to assure personnelsafety.
• Facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines.
• Assist in conducting risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.
• Assist the Head of Safety to organize OHS training of employees and executives.
• Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
• Record and investigate incidents to determine root causes and advise on corrective measures.
• Understand the operation of electrical, refrigeration, and Fire Fighting systems.
• Communicate with different departments and to provide them with information and assistance.
• Assists management and enforcement officers in emergency situations.
• Complies and records data for Safety Control.
• Investigates & Document all incidents, accidents, and safety-related activities in a clear and concise manner, maintaining accurate records.
