Job summary

QE2 in Dubai seeks a Safety Officer to monitor hazards, enforce safety protocols, and train staff across departments. You will inspect premises, stop unsafe acts, investigate incidents, and coordinate with management during emergencies. Strong communication and a guest-focused mindset are essential to ensure a secure, luxurious experience for guests aboard and ashore.

Minimum 2-3 years hotel safety experience, excellent communication, and a drive to exceed guest expectations are required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in hotels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to exceeding guest expectations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess hazardous and unsafe situations.
• Develop measures to assure personnel safety.
• Facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines.
• Assist in conducting risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.
• Assist the Head of Safety to organize OHS training of employees and executives.
• Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).
• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
• Record and investigate incidents to determine root causes and advise on corrective measures.
• Understand the operation of electrical, refrigeration, and Fire Fighting systems.
• Communicate with different departments and provide information and assistance.
• Assist management and enforcement officers in emergency situations.
• Complies and records data for Safety Control.
• Investigates & Document all incidents, accidents, and safety-related activities in a clear and concise manner, maintaining accurate records.
