Job summary

Accor Group is seeking a Safety Officer for Hotel Operations in Dubai to oversee day-to-day health and safety practices across QE2 operations and ensure compliance with safety standards.

The role requires regular inspections, hazard identification, incident documentation, and effective communication with hotel departments to protect guests and staff. Collaboration with the Head of Safety and operations teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of hotel experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with different hotel departments.
• Understanding of workplace hazard identification and preventive safety measures.
• Commitment to supporting guest expectations while maintaining appropriate safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workplace conditions and assess hazardous or unsafe situations.
• Support the development and implementation of measures designed to protect personnel.
• Facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines.
• Assist with workplace risk assessments and preventive measures.
• Support the Head of Safety in organizing safety training for employees and executives.
• Inspect premises and practices to identify hazards, safety concerns, and non-conformities.
• Identify instances where required protective equipment is not being used.
• Record and investigate incidents to determine root causes.
• Recommend corrective measures based on incident findings.
• Maintain awareness of electrical, refrigeration, and firefighting systems.
• Communicate with departments and provide safety-related information.
• Assist management and enforcement officers during emergencies.
• Compile and record information required for safety control activities.
• Investigate and document incidents clearly and accurately.
• Maintain safety records and supporting documentation.
