Job summary

Al Futtaim Private Company (LLC) in collaboration with BYD invites an EV Service Technician to diagnose maintenance and repair BYD electric vehicles, adhere to high safety and quality standards, and uphold customer satisfaction in a fast-growing EV workshop.

You should hold a Diploma/ITI/NCVT or equivalent, have 2–3 years’ automotive diagnostics experience, and be familiar with EV systems, high-voltage safety, and diagnostic tools; English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma, ITI, NCVT, ITC, or equivalent technical qualification.
• 2–3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician or EV Technician.
• Hands-on experience with diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of vehicles.
• Knowledge of EV systems and high-voltage safety is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance and repair on BYD EVs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot EV systems including high-voltage components and battery systems.
• Carry out repairs per manufacturer guidelines and EV safety standards.
• Complete repairs right the first time to minimize downtime.
• Perform vehicle inspections and support EVC reporting.
• Follow high-voltage safety procedures, workshop processes, and 5S standards.
• Ensure efficient use of parts, tools and workshop resources.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team to deliver customer service.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EV technology and automotive innovations.

What Equips You for the Role

• Diploma, ITI, NCVT, ITC, or equivalent technical qualification
• 2–3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Service Technician, General Repair Technician, or EV Technician
• Hands-on experience in vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair
• Experience working on Electric Vehicles (EVs) or Hybrid Vehicles is highly preferred
• EV or High-Voltage (HV) certification is an advantage
• Experience using manufacturer diagnostic tools and repair manuals
• Good understanding of electrical, electronic and high-voltage vehicle systems
• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage
• Good communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
