The Career Nest is seeking Service Staff / Waiter / Waitress for an award-winning Japanese fine-dining restaurant in Dubai, UAE. You will deliver attentive table service of Wagyu, seafood, and beverages, exemplifying Japanese hospitality and a guest-centric approach.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in premium hospitality, strong English communication, and a flair for personalized guest recommendations. On-site, full-time role with visa sponsorship and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of restaurant service experience, preferably fine-dining or premium venues.
• Japanese restaurant experience is a distinct advantage.
• Good spoken English is required for explanations and orders.
• Additional language skills (Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, or Russian) are advantageous.
• Must be eligible for a UAE work visa and have a maximum 30 days notice period.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide attentive, professional table service reflecting fine-dining standards.
• Explain menu details, make recommendations, and take orders accurately in the POS system.
• Confirm allergies and dietary needs and relay to kitchen and supervisors.
• Serve with timing and presentation, coordinating with kitchen, bar, and reception teams.
• Prepare tables, maintain cleanliness, and handle opening/closing duties.
• Anticipate guest needs, handle simple requests, and escalate issues when needed.
• Process payments, check bills, support repeat-guest relations, and assist colleagues during peak times.

As a Service Staff member, you will learn the art of Japanese hospitality while working with premium Wagyu, seafood, and exceptional beverages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests and provide attentive, professional table service that reflects the highest fine-dining standards and Japanese hospitality.
• Clearly explain the menu, Wagyu cuts, seafood, and preparation methods, making personalized recommendations suited to guest preferences and budgets.
• Accurately take and enter orders into the POS system.
• Confirm allergies and dietary requirements with guests and effectively communicate them to the kitchen and supervisory team.
• Serve food and beverages with impeccable timing and presentation, coordinating seamlessly with the kitchen, bar, sake sommelier, and reception teams.
• Prepare tables, maintain service station cleanliness, and complete all opening, closing, and side duties.
• Anticipate guest needs, handle simple requests promptly, and appropriately raise sensitive issues to the management.
• Process payments accurately, check bills, support repeat-guest relationships, and assist colleagues during busy service periods.

Candidate Profile & Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of restaurant service experience, preferably within fine-dining restaurants, five-star hotels, or premium hospitality venues.
• Japanese restaurant experience is a distinct advantage.
• Good spoken English is required for menu explanations, order taking, and handling guest requests.
• Additional language skills (Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, or Russian) are highly advantageous.
• Warm hospitality, professional appearance, and a deep respect for Japanese culture.
• Strong attention to detail, accurate order-taking skills, and strict adherence to hygiene and dietary-requirement procedures.
• Ability to remain calm during busy service, show initiative, and work harmoniously within a team.
• Must be eligible for a company-sponsored UAE work visa and have a notice period of maximum 30 days.
