Job summary

FUJIFILM Middle East & Africa is seeking a Service Operations Specialist to drive revenue, margin and service-level performance. You will coordinate between Finance, Logistics, Sales and Product teams to convert data into real-time performance insight and lead corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years in service operations, commercial operations, supply chain or order-to-cash roles – preferably within medical devices, imaging or healthcare technology.
  • Demonstrated understanding of revenue recognition, P&L, gross-margin management and service-contract administration.
  • Hands-on experience with import/export documentation, and logistics coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Owns revenue recognition, forecasting and monthly variance analysis across service contracts, warranty, training, site support and product data.
  • Maintain a minimum monthly gross profit margin and participate in P&L reviews with cost-driver analysis.
  • Review and optimize shipping components to reduce costs and improve order-to-delivery times.

Job description

Role Purpose

The Service Operations Specialist owns the operational and commercial engine of the service business, ensuring it delivers its revenue, margin and service-level commitments reliably and profitably. The role safeguards revenue by driving accurate forecasting and recognition, protects profitability through gross-margin and cost discipline, and keeps the supply chain responsive through effective inventory, order and shipping management.

Acting as the operational hub between Finance, Logistics, Sales, Technical Support and Product teams, the specialist converts fragmented data into a single, real-time view of performance, flags gaps early, and drives corrective and continuous-improvement actions. Success is measured by consistent achievement of the business KPI framework with the accuracy, timeliness and compliance of service operations.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Revenue Recognition & Forecasting
  • Achieve and maintain a revenue forecast accuracy vs. budget on a monthly basis, consolidating inputs across service contracts, warranty, training, site support and product-team data
  • Monitor and analyze revenue gaps and drops each period – quantify the variance, determine root causes and implement corrective actions to minimize recurrence
  • Track revenue recognition across all streams (monthly, quarterly, biannual and annual) and ensure proper accounting alignment
Gross Profit & P&L Management
  • Maintain a minimum monthly gross profit margin, consistently identifying and addressing deviations through margin-improvement plans
  • Participate actively in P&L management and review discussions, providing analysis of cost drivers, pricing impact and margin trends
Shipping & Logistics Cost Management
  • Continuously review and optimize shipping cost components to achieve a year-over-year reduction
  • Streamline shipping processes to reduce order-to-delivery cycle time and raise on-time delivery, working closely with logistics partners
Inventory Planning & Control
  • Actively manage and reduce Slow-Moving / Idle (SMI) inventory each quarter through analysis and inventory rationalization.
  • Develop balanced inventory plans that minimize stock growth while preventing stock-outs, maintaining safety-stock levels and reorder points aligned to demand forecasts and cycle-count discipline to achieve the targeted hit rate.
Service Contract Administration & Revenue Assurance
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date actual shipping data per contract with zero discrepancies.
  • Keep an accurate record of monthly revenue recognition from service contracts to ensure correct accounting and reporting.
  • Achieve 100% monthly execution of the service-contract revenue budget, ensuring no shortfall in recognized revenue.
Credit Control & Payment Follow-up
  • Maintain a follow-up schedule ensuring 100% payment collection before the start of each quarter for active service contracts, training and all service sales elements, escape overdue accounts to management for potential account blocking to mitigate financial risk
  • Enforce the training payment policy Order & Export / Import Operations
  • Manage order administration – OA / PI / PO processing – to ensure accurate, timely handling and documentation with zero errors
  • Manage import/export shipments including : invoice confirmation, coordinating with logistics, finance and customs teams for smooth, compliant flow of goods
Inventory Reconciliation & Compliance
  • Ensure timely and accurate inventory reconciliation and management, including destruction processes carried out strictly per procedure.
  • Prevent discrepancies and maintain regulatory and audit compliance across inventory records
Performance Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Service Operations dashboard giving real-time visibility of revenue vs. budget, gaps and variance, backorders, gross-profit trends, key issues and improvement actions
  • Own and analyze operational KPIs, set benchmarks and drive sustained performance; act as a change agent for process improvement and operational best practice
Qualifications & Experience

  • Hands‑on experience with import/export documentation, and logistics coordination
Technical Skills & Systems
  • Advanced data consolidation, KPI reporting and variance analysis.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and CRM platforms; comfort with inventory and order‑management modules
  • Strong financial acumen – forecasting, margin and cost analysis, budget tracking
  • Familiarity with trade documentation, Incoterms and LC processing
