Egis Group in Dubai seeks a Senior Engineer Vertical Transportation to lead the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of VT systems on-site. You will coordinate with construction teams, vendors, and clients to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Candidate has 8+ years in VT, strong drawing interpretation, and experience with major VT manufacturers. The role emphasizes project leadership, safety, and continuous improvement on large-scale projects in the Middle East.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in vertical transportation systems including installation, commissioning and maintenance.
• Proven experience with major VT system manufacturers (OTIS, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of elevator and escalator mechanics, hydraulics, traction systems and controls.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Solid understanding of UAE building codes, safety standards and regulatory requirements for vertical transportation.
• Demonstrated site supervision and project coordination skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with detail orientation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Responsabilités

• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of elevators, escalators and moving walkways on site.
• Conduct technical inspections and troubleshoot VT equipment to resolve issues quickly.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international standards through drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors and project teams to meet timelines and budgets.
• Develop and implement site safety protocols and QA procedures for VT activities.
• Prepare technical reports and analyses to track progress and performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices and standards.
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules and corrective actions for reliability.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to project managers and clients.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and regulatory changes in VT.
