Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in vertical transportation systems including installation, commissioning and maintenance.
• Proven experience with major VT system manufacturers (OTIS, Schindler, ThyssenKrupp or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of elevator and escalator mechanics, hydraulics, traction systems and controls.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Solid understanding of UAE building codes, safety standards and regulatory requirements for vertical transportation.
• Demonstrated site supervision and project coordination skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with detail orientation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of elevators, escalators and moving walkways on site.
• Conduct technical inspections and troubleshoot VT equipment to resolve issues quickly.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international standards through drawings and specs.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer Vertical Transportation (VT) to join our team in Dubai United Arab this role you will oversee the installation commissioning and maintenance of vertical transportation systems on-site ensuring all operations meet the highest standards of safety quality and efficiency. As a Senior Engineer you will provide technical leadership coordinate with multiple stakeholders and drive project success through meticulous planning and execution.

• Supervise and manage the installation testing and commissioning of elevators escalators and moving walkway systems on construction and renovation projects
• Conduct detailed technical inspections and troubleshooting of vertical transportation equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Interpret and analyze technical drawings specifications and building codes to ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international standards
• Coordinate with vendors contractors and project teams to ensure seamless integration of VT systems within project timelines and budgets
• Develop and implement comprehensive site safety protocols and quality assurance procedures for all VT-related activities
• Prepare technical reports documentation and performance analyses to track project progress and system performance
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians providing guidance on best practices and technical standards
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules and oversee corrective actions to optimize system reliability and longevity

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in vertical transportation systems including installation maintenance and commissioning
• Proven expertise with major VT system manufacturers (OTIS Schindler ThyssenKrupp or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of elevator and escalator mechanics hydraulic and traction systems and control technologies
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings schematics and specifications
• Comprehensive understanding of UAE building codes safety standards and regulatory requirements for vertical transportation
• Demonstrated experience in site supervision and project coordination
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management tools
