Qualifications

• Previous visual merchandising experience in a retail environment.
• Strong artistic judgement with understanding of colour, composition, proportion, customer behaviour, store layouts and product presentation.

Responsibilities

• Formulate visual merchandising strategies and brand presentation standards for designated business units.
• Translate seasonal ranges, merchant initiatives and promotional priorities into distinctive retail concepts.
• Develop practical display, layout and customer-flow guides based on product assortment and available space.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Store Operations on seasonal launches, campaigns and promotional changes.
• Supply field visual merchandising teams with layouts, communication tools and relevant training content.
• Evaluate store execution through audits and resolve presentation gaps affecting quality or brand consistency.
• Direct the visual presentation of innovation, store-reinvention and format-growth projects.
• Plan departmental adjacencies and space allocations that encourage product discovery and support sales objectives.
• Influence the design and placement of fixtures, signage, graphics and other in-store branding elements.
• Contribute to the creation and testing of new retail prototypes designed around customer requirements.
• Advise on the visual scope and sequence of store renovation and refurbishment programs.
• Recruit, coach and develop visual merchandising professionals for future progression.
