Job summary

Jifmar Group based in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Senior Superintendent to lead technical management, maintenance coordination, and procurement for a fleet of workboats. You will ensure vessel availability, safety and regulatory compliance while driving cost-efficient sourcing.

The role blends hands-on supervision with budgeting, vendor negotiations, and KPI reporting across UAE, GCC, and international projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent maritime discipline.
Minimum 5–8 years of vessel technical management experience.
Experience with workboats, tugs, or offshore support vessels.
Knowledge of classification and flag requirements.
Familiarity with procurement and cost control.
Excellent English communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily technical operations of assigned vessels to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant performance.
Plan preventive maintenance with crews and shore teams.
Coordinate dry-dockings, repairs, and modifications with budgets.
Liaise with classification societies and authorities for regulatory compliance.
Source and purchase technical spares, lubricants, and services; negotiate terms.
Monitor inventories and optimize supply chain across UAE, GCC, and beyond.
Prepare maintenance and purchasing budgets; report variances.
Promote safety culture and support incident investigations.
