Job summary

EDGE is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for Landing Gear Systems in Abu Dhabi. You will own system design across the UAV development lifecycle, from requirements to flight testing, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers to deliver safe, certifiable solutions.

The role offers exposure to UAV development in a defense-forward environment, with opportunities to build deep landing gear expertise and leadership capabilities while aligning with aerospace safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in aerospace systems engineering with at least 8 years in landing gear design/integration.
• Experience on UAV, aircraft, or rotorcraft programs with mechanical systems and airframe integration.
• Proven experience in safety-critical system design.
• Experience managing system design life-cycle activities.

Responsibilities

• Define landing gear requirements and architecture in line with airframe design and mission needs.
• Develop technical specs for landing gear components (shock absorbers, struts, actuators, wheels, retraction).
• Lead system integration with structures, avionics, hydraulics and controls.
• Coordinate interfaces and ICDs; ensure lifecycle management per ARP4754.
• Support verification, validation and testing across ground and flight phases.
