Job summary

Innovation Star in Dubai seeks an experienced accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance, while preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with UAE standards.

The role requires a minimum of five years' accounting experience in the UAE, expertise in VAT filings and Corporate Tax compliance, and proficiency with QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Xero and C1.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Bachelor of Commerce (mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including UAE experience.
• Proven expertise in VAT filing, FTA dealings, and Corporate Tax compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Xero, and C1 (preferred).
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping journal entries reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare and finalize monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
• Handle accounts receivable accounts payable and cash flow management
• Assist with internal and external audits ensuring accurate financial documentation and compliance
• Ensure timely and accurate VAT filings FTA correspondence and compliance with UAE tax laws
• Prepare and file Corporate Tax returns and maintain up-to-date knowledge of UAE tax regulations
• Conduct financial analysis budgeting and forecasting to support management decisions
• Liaise with customers vendors and auditors on accounting and financial matters
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to company financial policies and reporting standards
