AECOM is seeking a Principal Transport Engineer to lead transport planning and traffic engineering studies across infrastructure, development and masterplanning projects in the UAE. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a transport-related field and relevant professional memberships.
- Extensive experience (12+ years) in transport planning and scheme appraisal.
- Proven ability to deliver multi-disciplinary projects to time and budget.
- Strong communication skills for client and authority engagement.
- Experience with DfT/Treasury guidance is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead transport planning and traffic engineering studies for development and masterplanning projects.
- Prepare and review Traffic Impact Studies, Transport Assessments, and mobility studies.
- Perform traffic analysis, junction capacity, and network assessments.
- Develop technical reports, calculations, and model inputs/outputs.
- Coordinate inputs from highways, urban planning, rail, and other teams.
- Manage day-to-day technical activities, deliverables, and client requirements.
- Liaise with clients, government authorities, developers, and stakeholders.
- Present transport findings at technical meetings and workshops.
