Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Abu Dhabi seeks a Service Engineer – Transformer Services to maintain, install, test, commission, repair, and troubleshoot power transformers and related equipment across utility sites. You will support OLTC/RTCC maintenance, oil treatment, and passivation while working with a global service team; strong field service mindset and ability to work independently are valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in engineering.
6–10 years in transformer services incl. OLTC repair and control systems.
Strong troubleshooting and commissioning experience; travel as required.
Proficient in computer applications and strong communication.
Experience with digital transformer solutions is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance for transformers and related equipment.
Provide on-site and remote technical support for installation and maintenance activities.
Ensure safety guidelines and accident prevention measures on energized systems.
Coordinate with customers, feeder factories, and service teams for project execution.
Prepare service reports, timesheets, and delivery notes with client approval.
Act as OEM representative, ensuring tools and scope of work are understood.
