Job summary

EDGE, headquartered in the UAE, seeks a Test Equipment Systems/Development Engineer to design, develop, integrate, validate and maintain test equipment for UAV systems and subsystems. You will ensure repeatable, safe, efficient, and certifiable testing across avionics, electrical, mechanical, propulsion, communications and software domains.

The role requires a strong background in ATE, HIL, and automated testing, with expertise in LabVIEW, C/C++, Python and MATLAB/Simulink.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics/mechatronics; master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in design/deployment of test equipment for aerospace/defense.
• Experience with ATE, HIL and test benches; hardware/software integration testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom and commercial test equipment for system verification.
• Define requirements for ATE, HIL systems, simulation rigs and integration benches.
• Develop interface hardware, signal conditioning, wiring Harnesses, and instrumentation for lab/field use.
• Support verification, validation, maintenance, calibration plans and change management.
• Provide engineering support during component, subsystem and system tests and ensure traceability to requirements.
