Job summary

Penspen Ltd is hiring for an experienced Senior Engineer, Construction (Telecom), site-based in Abu Dhabi with extensive oil & gas experience to oversee telecommunications works for oil and gas projects, ensuring safe, timely, and quality execution in accordance with project specifications.

Key responsibilities include supervising installation, testing, commissioning, reviewing docs, coordinating contractors, and ensuring progress, quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Telecommunications, Electronics or Electrical) is mandatory.
• 15+ years of relevant oil & gas experience.
• 5+ years in GCC region.
• 5+ years in a similar position.
• Extensive Oil & Gas pipeline experience.
• Strong knowledge of fiber-optic networks, CCTV, access control, PAGA, radio, telephone and data systems.
• Experience in EPC/EPCM project environments.
• In-depth understanding of HSE requirements and industry codes/standards.
• Proven leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom systems.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements, and construction work packages.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, engineering teams and other disciplines.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
• Manage inspections, system integration, completion and handover activities.
• Resolve technical and site-related issues.
