Job summary

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) is seeking an experienced protection engineer to work on gas turbine and generator protection systems, including HV/LV switchgear. The role covers testing, commissioning and fault troubleshooting across 132kV/33kV GIS installations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with protection schemes for gas turbines, transformers, and motors, and can operate primary/secondary injection test kits.

Qualifications

• Experience with protection systems for gas turbine and steam turbine generators across multiple makes.
• Testing and commissioning of power and distribution transformer protection systems.
• Troubleshooting control circuits of HV/LV switchgear and protection systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Experience in Gas Turbine & Steam Turbine Generator / Generator Transformer Protection systems of different Make like Areva/Siemens/Schneider/ABB/GE
• Testing and commissioning of Power and Distribution Transformer Protection systems
• Experience in control circuits troubleshooting of the HV/LV Switchgear and protection
• Experience in HV Motors Protection systems
• Experience in 132KV/33KV Gas Insulated Switchgear
• Experience in Power and Distribution Transformer maintenance
• Experience in HV/LV switchgear maintenance
• HV cables, cable differential/feeder Protection systems
• Low Impedance Bus Bar Protection systems such as REB500, REB670 and high Impedance bus bar protection systems
• Competent of using the secondary and primary injection test kits.
