Job summary

EK Group is seeking a Senior Technical Engineer to design, develop and support robust IT solutions across business and IT initiatives. You will lead cross‑functional teams, ensure architecture compliance, and drive automation and cloud adoption in line with enterprise standards.

You will work within the EG-IT framework to deliver high‑quality designs, integrate with middleware, and mentor engineers while maintaining documentation and governance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology.
• 8+ years in Information Technology.
• ITIL and AGILE frameworks knowledge.
• Agile and DevOps practice with servant leadership.
• Cloud expertise with public clouds and VMware private cloud.
• Automation using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and shell scripting.
• Interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Attention to detail and quality; outcomes-oriented.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ownership mentality and teamwork.
• Cloud platforms depth; architecture level familiarity.
• 6+ years infra design/implementation/administration.
• 4+ years integration products support (TIBCO EMS, MQ, Jenkins).
• Expertise in Microservices, API gateways (APIGEE), and IPaaS (SnapLogic).
• Data streaming (Kafka, Solace).
• Linux scripting; DevOps with SAFE; Confluence/JIRA.
• Infra as Code with Ansible/Terraform; Git/Bitbucket.
• Cloud concepts and container-based apps; hybrid cloud.
• Azure and AWS familiarity; product features awareness.
• Dashboard tooling (Splunk, ELK, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Networks, ServiceNow, servers, service mesh, mTLS, SSO, SAML, NoSQL DBs.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical consultancy and lead technical members in project teams.
• Develop IT solutions meeting customer requirements; ensure robust design per standards.
• Ensure architectures meet service levels for availability, capacity, security, and performance.
• Foster high-performing teams to meet architectural objectives.
• Develop solution architectures with EA standards; support tech advancements.
• Collaborate with IT teams to monitor technology and configure incidents in EMS.
• Guide project managers on design and development of in-house solutions.
• Resolve incidents within SLAs; analyze problems; manage changes in the tech area.
• Publish and maintain high-quality documentation per templates and guidelines.
• Manage End of Life replacement of equipment/software; support initiatives.
• Translate enhancement specs into error-free code using enterprise tools.
