Job summary

Parsons in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Technical Engineer to perform diverse engineering assignments across one discipline, applying advanced techniques. The role requires extensive experience with site supervision, reviews of drawings and specifications, and ensuring compliance with authority requirements.

You will coordinate with design consultants, manage QA/QC of materials and methods, and lead root-cause analyses on NCRs/SORs while ensuring accurate as-built surveys and builder work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 15+ years of technical engineering experience, with 5–8 years in the UAE.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication; excellent technical writing and review skills.
• English fluency required; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review IFC, shop drawings, and coordination drawings for compliance with specs and codes.
• Coordinate technical queries and design clarifications with the design consultant; ensure timely closure.
• Conduct constructability and maintainability reviews; identify design gaps and interface risks.
• Review and comment on materials, method statements, ITPs, mock-ups, and samples for approval.
• Track and validate NOCs/permits/authority approvals; ensure contractor adherence to conditions.
• Lead technical site supervision and independent inspections; verify compliance before sign-offs.
• Direct root-cause analysis and closure of NCRs/SORs; verify FAT/SAT and performance tests.
• Ensure survey controls, as-builts accuracy, and builder's work coordination.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Technical Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to complete a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within one discipline.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Review IFC, shop drawings, and coordination drawings for compliance with specs, codes, and employer's requirements.
• Coordinate technical queries and design clarifications with the design consultant; ensure timely, traceable closure.
• Conduct constructability and maintainability reviews; identify design gaps and interface risks
• Review and comment and recommend materials, method statements, temporary works, ITPs, mock-ups, and samples for approval.
• Track and validate NOCs/permits/authority approvals; ensure contractor adherence to authority comments and conditions
• Lead technical site supervision oversight and independent inspections; verify compliance before consultant/authority sign-offs.
• Direct root-cause analysis and closure of NCRs/SORs; verify FAT/SAT and performance tests.
• Ensure survey controls, as-builts accuracy, and builder's work coordination.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a
• Minimum 15 years of technical engineering experience, with at least 5–8 years in the UAE and strong Abu Dhabi authority exposure.
• Proven Consultant experience on mixed-use/commercial and infrastructure/landscape programs.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication; excellent technical writing and review skills.
• English fluency required; Arabic an advantage.
