Job summary

Rakbank seeks an experienced Senior System Analyst & Support Engineer for its Treasury Platform. The role combines Front Arena development, Python/SQL engineering, and production support to enhance a business-critical treasury system.

You will design, implement and optimize Front Arena solutions, automate processes, and ensure production stability across trading, pricing, and settlements. Hybrid UAE work arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Hands-on Front Arena development, configuration or application support within banking/treasury.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with APIs, messaging, file processing and system integrations.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and/or Windows Server environments.
• Experience with Git or similar source-control tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and implement Front Arena enhancements aligned with Treasury and business requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Front Arena Developer / System Support Engineer to develop, enhance, and support a business-critical Treasury platform. The role combines Front Arena development, Python/SQL engineering, application and production support, integration development, automation, and Treasury domain knowledge. The successful candidate will work closely with Treasury and Technology stakeholders to deliver platform enhancements, maintain production stability, resolve complex technical issues, improve system performance, and automate operational processes. Strong experience with Front Arena, Python, SQL, financial markets, and enterprise application support is highly desirable.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, test and implement Front Arena enhancements aligned with Treasury and business requirements.
• Develop and maintain solutions using Python, AEL, ASQL, SQL and Front Arena configuration capabilities.
• Build and enhance trade-processing solutions, workflows, reporting, reconciliations, interfaces, scheduled processes and automation.
• Configure and enhance Front Arena Operations Manager, including custom functionality and operational workflows.
• Provide technical and functional production support across trade capture, market data, pricing, valuation, accounting, confirmations, settlements, reconciliation and EOD processing.
• Investigate complex production incidents, perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent solutions to reduce recurring issues.
• Develop and support integrations between Front Arena and upstream/downstream systems using REST/SOAP APIs, XML/JSON, file-based interfaces, SFTP/FTP, FIX, SWIFT and database integrations.
• Troubleshoot performance issues across application code, databases, integrations, calculations and batch processing.
• Work closely with Treasury stakeholders across FX, Money Markets, Fixed Income, Derivatives and Precious Metals, supporting the full trade lifecycle from booking through settlement and reporting.
• Automate manual operational processes across reconciliation, monitoring, reporting, deployment and application support.
• Improve application monitoring, logging, alerting and operational visibility.
• Support SIT/UAT, production releases, post-deployment validation and controlled change-management activities.
• Contribute to security remediation, disaster recovery, business continuity, audit and technology-risk requirements.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience in Front Arena development, configuration or application support within banking, Treasury or capital markets.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with AEL and/or ASQL.
• Good understanding of Front Arena Prime/ATS and Operations Manager is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting complex, business‑critical production applications.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, messaging, file processing and system integrations.
• Experience working with Linux/Unix and/or Windows Server environments.
• Experience with Git or similar source‑control tools.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and performance‑analysis capabilities.
• Good understanding of Treasury products including FX Spot, Forward, Swap, NDF, Money Market, Fixed Income and Derivatives.
• Strong understanding of the end‑to‑end Treasury trade lifecycle, including pricing and valuation, MTM/P&L, accounting, confirmations, settlements, reconciliation and EOD processing.
