Hawksman Technology, based in Dubai, is expanding its Equities support team to assist a leading global investment bank on live trading desks across the Middle East. This front-line role focuses on production support for Equities trading and middle office platforms in a fast-paced environment.

You will troubleshoot in real-time, coordinate with traders and technologists, monitor system health, and collaborate with regional and global colleagues on more complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line production support for Equities trading and middle-office platforms in the Middle East region.
• Act as go-to contact for traders, troubleshooting issues in real time to minimize trading disruption.
• Monitor system health, trade flows, and platform performance; resolve issues proactively.
• Support vendor platforms Fidessa and ULLink, plus in-house trading systems.
• Liaise with vendor desks to escalate incidents to resolution.
• Collaborate with second-line, development teams and global counterparts on complex issues.
• Carry out root-cause analysis and document findings; recommend improvements.
• Assist with releases, enhancements, and configuration changes as needed.
• Maintain records of incidents and resolutions; help improve support processes.

Hawksman Technology is currently working with a leading global investment bank that’s expanding its presence across the Middle East and looking to bring in a strong, front-office-focused support analyst to help underpin its Equities business in the region. With growth markets like Riyadh and Abu Dhabi coming into focus, this is a chance to be close to the action on live trading desks while working within a well-established global support model.

About the Role

This role is based in Dubai and sits within the wider EMEA support function, part of a globally distributed team. It’s a front-line production support role for Equities trading and middle office platforms across the Middle East, covering both vendor systems (Fidessa, ULLink) and critical in-house applications. It suits someone who stays calm under pressure during market hours, enjoys real-time troubleshooting, and can talk confidently to traders and technologists alike. The initial focus is first-line support, with plenty of collaboration with regional and global colleagues on more complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line production support for Equities trading and middle office platforms across the Middle East region
• Act as the go-to contact for traders and business users, troubleshooting issues in real time to keep disruption to trading to a minimum
• Monitor system health, trade flows, and platform performance, catching and resolving issues proactively
• Support key vendor platforms including Fidessa and ULLink, alongside in-house trading systems
• Liaise with vendor support desks to **escalate** and manage incidents through to resolution
• Work closely with second-line support, development teams, and global counterparts on complex technical issues
• Carry out root cause analysis on incidents, documenting findings and recommending improvements
• Assist with release cycles, system enhancements, and configuration changes where needed
• Keep accurate records of incidents and resolutions, and contribute to improving support processes, monitoring, and documentation

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a production or application support role within an Equities trading environment, ideally supporting live trading desks in a time-critical setting

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Equities products, the trade lifecycle, and market flows
• Hands-on experience supporting front-office trading and/or middle office systems
• Solid FIX protocol knowledge, including troubleshooting and message analysis (essential)
• Experience working within a global or multi-regional support model
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with traders, middle office, and technical teams
• Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach
• Willingness to work regionally aligned hours to support market needs

Preferred Skills

• Bonus points for experience with Fidessa and/or ULLink, familiarity with local MENA market rules and conventions, or basic scripting/database knowledge (e.g. SQL)
