Job summary

Fugro Germany GmbH in the UAE seeks an experienced ROV Operations Manager to lead planning and execution of subsea ROV/USV projects. You will supervise technicians, ensure safety, and maintain regulatory compliance across activities in a dynamic marine environment.

The role requires a strong engineering background, hands-on leadership, and the ability to coordinate with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines in challenging waters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, robotics or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in systems engineering focusing on ROVs/USVs/marine robotics.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Strong proficiency in mechanical design, control systems, sensor integration, and underwater vehicle dynamics.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with API, ISO, ABS standards for underwater robotics.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise ROV operations to meet project goals and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to plan and execute subsea operations.
• Mentor and manage a skilled team of ROV technicians.
