Job summary

Fugro in Dubai is seeking an experienced Drilling Manager to coordinate onshore and offshore projects, driving execution strategies, safety standards, and efficient resource use. You will supervise drilling crews, ensure adherence to methodology, and coordinate with operations to meet project targets.

The role requires extensive drilling experience and a demonstrated management background, with a focus on maintaining high production, safety, and quality across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8 years experience with various drilling techniques & drilling equipment.
• 3 years within a management role.
• Learning agility: Strong ability to learn from experience and adapt to new situations.
• Communication: Strong communicator who promotes open communication across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Formulate project execution strategy and drilling interface with operations manager.
• Ensure maximum production and utilization of equipment, tools, and personnel.
• Technical point of contact to onshore/nearshore operations during projects.
• Monitor market developments in drilling equipment and fluids.
• Procurement involvement for drilling equipment to ensure value and budget compliance.
• Review project documents to ensure correct drilling methodologies and targets.
• Support mobilization of rigs and vessels to site and training of crew.
• Lead competency assessment schemes for drill crew and supervisors.
• Carry out site visits to maintain drilling standards on onshore and nearshore rigs.
• Support preparation of drilling method statements and tender input.
• Ensure compliance with Fugro policies.
