Petrofac, a leading energy services company, seeks a Principal Engineer - Subcontracts based in Abu Dhabi. The role centers on the commercial and contractual management of subcontracts through the project lifecycle, from proposal through close-out, within oil and gas projects.

Ideal candidates hold a Graduate or Master’s degree in Engineering, with experience managing subcontract lifecycles, strong MS Office skills, and site-based construction exposure.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience in managing subcontract life cycles (award to post‑award closeouts).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Site-based construction experience is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with offshore/modularization projects is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontracting processes during proposal, project award, and post-award phases.
• Handle subcontract agreements, variations, claims, and extension of time requests.
• Ensure adherence to company procedures and best practices for construction project close-out.
• Utilize digital platforms (SCMS, ERP) for bid evaluation, tabulation, and departmental database maintenance.
• Coordinate with project teams to draft responses to subcontractor claims and counterclaims.
