Job summary

Dar, a leading multidisciplinary consulting organization within the Sidara group, seeks an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead the on-site structural team for complex projects. You will supervise daily structural activities, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and project timelines.

Responsibilities include inspections, quality control, technical guidance, and preparing documentation for progress reports.

Qualifications

• Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in structural engineering, with proven site supervision experience preferably in building or airport-related project.
• Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the on-site structural engineering team, ensuring work adheres to project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Manage the day-to-day structural activities on-site, coordinating with contractors and subcontractors to achieve project milestones.
• Conduct regular inspections of structural elements, including foundations, columns, beams, and slabs, ensuring they meet project and regulatory standards.
• Implement and maintain quality control measures for materials and workmanship, preventing defects and ensuring structural integrity.
• Conduct additional structural calculations and provide technical guidance to ensure construction methods are safe and compliant.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to align structural activities with overall project goals and timelines.
• Facilitate clear communication between stakeholders, addressing structural concerns and clarifying technical details to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Provides input to the monthly progress report as directed by the Resident Engineer.
• Maintain detailed site documentation, including daily reports, inspection records, and non-compliance reports, for project tracking and audit purposes.
• Ensure all on-site structural activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
