Job summary

Dar is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to lead on-site supervision of large-scale projects in the UAE. You will coordinate with discipline engineers, inspect construction activities, review RFIs, and mentor junior staff while ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

You should have 20+ years of experience, with a focus on structural concrete, knowledge of regional codes, and a track record on building and airport projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 20+ years of experience including management of large/complex project sites.
• Experience in structural concrete is mandatory.
• Deep understanding of regional codes, contracts and delivery models.
• Experience in building and airport projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site supervision of contractor activities per drawings, specs and method statements.
• Conduct daily site inspections and issue site instructions as needed.
• Liaise with discipline engineers and inspectors for cross-trade coordination.
• Address RFIs in collaboration with design office and client representatives.
• Monitor contractor progress and report deviations from program.
• Coordinate material submittals and shop drawing reviews with discipline teams.
• Chair or attend site meetings and maintain client/contractor relations.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and elevate issues promptly.
• Maintain site documentation, NCRs, logs and reporting records.
• Mentor junior engineers and inspectors in best site supervision practices.
