Job summary

U+A in Abu Dhabi seeks a Structural Inspector (Buildings Project) to lead daily site inspections ensuring compliance with IFC/shop drawings, method statements, and UAE authority regulations. You will review concrete, reinforcement, formwork, and steel works, coordinate with engineers and architects, and maintain thorough QA/QC documentation.

The role requires a civil engineering degree, 8+ years of UAE inspection experience, and travel between project sites with a UAE driving license.

Qualifications

8+ years of structural site inspection experience in UAE construction
Ability to interpret IFC drawings, shop drawings, specs, ITPs and method statements
Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and authority requirements
Excellent report writing and documentation skills
Willingness to travel between project sites and hold a UAE driving license

Responsibilities

Carry out daily site inspections for all structural works per drawings and specs
Monitor contractor activities to ensure UAE authority compliance and international standards
Identify deviations and issue Site Observation Reports and NCRs
Review inspections related to concrete, reinforcement, formwork, steel, foundations, and waterproofing
Coordinate with project team to resolve structural issues and ensure corrective actions meet requirements
Ensure proper documentation and QA/QC records are maintained
Ensure health and safety protocols during all inspections
