Parsons Corporation in Dubai, United Arab Emirates seeks a highly experienced Structural Inspector for bridges and tunnels. The role requires verification of contractor compliance with FIDIC contracts, drawings, and project specs, coordinating with engineers, contractors, and authorities to ensure quality and safety of major infrastructure works.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with 8+ years of inspection experience on bridge and tunnel projects, including exposure to TBM,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
Minimum 8 years of structural inspection experience.
Proven inspection experience on both bridge and tunnel projects.
Practical exposure to TBM, cut-and-cover, NATM, or SEM construction methods.
Minimum 4 years UAE or GCC experience on RTA, metro, transport infrastructure, or comparable authority projects.
Consultant-side supervision experience is preferred.
RTA or Dubai Municipality approval as Inspector Engineer is advantageous.
UAE driving license preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect bored piles, barrettes, pile caps, pier columns, abutments and foundation elements.
Witness pile integrity testing (PIT, CSL) and static/dynamic load tests.
Verify reinforcement configuration, cover, lap lengths, couplers and detailing before concrete placement.
Check formwork stability, dimensions, alignment, levels and tolerances before pours.
Witness concrete pours, sampling, slump, temperature controls for mass concrete.
Inspect precast segmental girders during fabrication, delivery and erection.
Monitor post-tensioning operations including duct placement and grout.
Confirm bridge bearing type, orientation, elevation and alignment per design.
Inspect deck slabs, parapets, waterproofing and asphalt overlays.
Verify expansion joints, drainage and deck accessories at acceptance.
Inspect tunnel excavations (cut-and-cover, diaphragm walls, secant piles).
Monitor TBM activities (segment checks, ring-build geometry).
Inspect sprayed concrete lining for thickness, curing and testing.
Verify installation of rock bolts, steel ribs, lattice girders and primary supports.
Coordinate with geotechnical teams on ground movement data.
Review reinforced concrete for secondary tunnel linings and waterproofing membranes.
Prepare daily/weekly inspection reports and NCRs for nonconformities.
Maintain daily records in Aconex/ProjectWise and ensure traceability.
