Job summary

Wood seeks an experienced Structural Supervisor to oversee fabrication shop activities for high‑profile oil and gas projects. You will ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, IFC drawings, and approved procedures while delivering quality components on schedule.

You will coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, and planning teams, supervise subcontractors, and enforce strict HSE practices across a multicultural workforce in the UAE. A strong focus on safety and productivity is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years in structural steel fabrication with supervisory exposure.
• Proven ADNOC or Middle East EPC/EPCM project experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, and applicable codes.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards and safety requirements is required.
• Ability to read structural and fabrication drawings and GA drawings.
• Experience in supervision, productivity management, and cross-disciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day structural fabrication activities in the shop.
• Ensure works follow IFC/fabrication drawings, WPS, ITPs, and ADNOC specs.
• Coordinate with engineering, detailing, QA/QC and planning teams.
• Review drawings for constructability and solve issues early.
• Monitor productivity and manage manpower and equipment usage.
• Ensure material availability to meet schedules and track usage.
• Enforce HSE policies and ADNOC safety standards in the shop.
• Coordinate QA/QC inspections and acceptance testing.
• Ensure welds, tolerances, and coatings meet requirements.
• Maintain traceability and proper handling of components.
• Produce progress reports for project management and site teams.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with standards.
• Support site erection teams for interfaces and assembly.
• Maintain records of production, inspections, and as-built docs.
