Job summary

Global Project Management Consultancy is seeking an experienced Consultant Structural Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi supervision team. You will oversee soil improvement and piling works on new build projects, ensuring design intent and regulatory compliance under tight deadlines.

The role requires a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, at least six years of relevant experience, and hands-on skills with AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, minimum BSc.
• Minimum 6 years of overall experience, with UAE exposure.
• Experience supervising soil improvement and piling works is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review structural designs with architects and other disciplines for safety and functionality.
• Ensure compliance with local codes and obtain necessary permits.
• Select materials considering strength, durability and cost.
• Oversee construction to ensure design intent is followed; inspect on-site.
• Implement quality control and perform structural inspections.
• Assist in budgeting for the structural engineering package.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders and document decisions.
