Job summary

AECOM seeks an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (Site) to lead site-based structural operations in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee inspections, coordinate with architects and contractors, and mentor junior engineers to ensure projects meet quality, safety, and UAE codes.

The role requires a strong technical authority, experience with construction-phase oversight, and the ability to drive robust technical decisions across major infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of site-based structural engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• Experience overseeing on-site inspections and ensuring compliance with UAE building codes.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee structural engineering operations on-site across construction phases.
• Conduct on-site inspections and quality control to ensure compliance with designs and codes.
• Prepare and review structural calculations and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and project management teams.
• Lead design reviews and evaluate modifications for structural impact.
• Manage material testing and verification to meet standards.
• Communicate findings in meetings with stakeholders and project teams.
