Job summary

Al Marwan Group in the UAE seeks a senior structural engineer to act as the on-site technical guardian for a mega-scale high-rise (50+ floors) with deep basements. You will bridge the Lead Design Consultant’s vision with the Main Contractor’s execution, ensuring constructability within site constraints.

You will oversee IFC compliance, clash reviews, and field reports, coordinate with surveyors and local authorities, and ensure adherence to ACI, BS/Eurocodes, and UAE seismic/wind standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is highly preferred.
• 10–15 years of dedicated structural engineering experience in ultra-high-rise projects in UAE.
• Must hold UAE high-rise approvals/licenses (e.g., G+Unlimited) from authorities.
• Strong capability with 3D structural models (ETABS/SAFE/SAP2000) and BIM tools (AutoCAD/Revit/Navisworks).
• Deep knowledge of high-strength concrete, PT design, wind/seismic loads, and UAE codes.

Responsibilities

• Deep Excavation & Substructure Oversight for high-risk early works.
• Superstructure Engineering for high-rise core and floor plates.
• Drawing & Constructability Review of BBS and PT drawings; issue RFIs as needed.
• Verticality & Movement Monitoring with surveying team; ensure tolerance during rise.
• Concrete Technology & Quality control for high-strength mixes and pours.
• Inspection & Authority Approvals with UAE authorities; resolve NCRs.
• Temporary Works Engineering reviews for cranes, formwork, and tie-ins.
