Job summary

Confidential in Dubai seeks a Senior Structural Engineering leader to head the Structural Engineering Department, directing design from concept to construction and ensuring compliance with UAE codes and international standards.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with Architecture, MEP and infrastructure teams, manage budgets and schedules, support new business proposals, and engage with clients and authorities to resolve complex structural issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering is required.
• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is an advantage.
• 15+ years of relevant structural engineering experience with a consultancy.
• Proven experience in managing structural engineering teams and multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.
• Excellent knowledge of UAE and international structural codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Structural Engineering Department and provide technical and managerial direction to the team.
• Manage structural design projects from concept design through detailed design and construction stages.
• Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and submissions.
• Ensure designs comply with UAE codes, international standards, and project specs.
• Coordinate with Architecture, MEP, Infrastructure and other disciplines.
• Manage project resources, workloads, priorities and staff performance.
• Review project programmes, deliverables and technical requirements for timely completion.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities on structural matters.
• Provide technical solutions to complex structural issues.
• Attend design coordination, client and project meetings.
• Monitor QA/QC of deliverables and company procedures.
• Support business development including technical proposals and client presentations.
• Mentor and develop structural engineers and staff.
• Identify project risks and implement technical/management solutions.
